Cow Palace Welcomes Back Grand National Rodeo And Jr. Livestock Show Oct 7 & 8

It’s time to get back in the saddle! The Cow Palace welcomes its beloved Grand National Rodeo back to the historic venue. Get ready for the thrill and excitement of bareback riding, team roping, steer wrestling, bull riding, and saddle bronc riding. This official PRCA (Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association) competition is presented by Flying U Rodeo, the well renowned rodeo entertainment experts. Guests will not only enjoy the excitement of professional rodeo competitions, but also be treated to the death-defying horse riding of Madison MacDonald and the precision riding of the Diablo Ladies Rodeo Drill Team. Great western shopping and specialty food offerings round out the fun evening. Also on Friday, the Cow Palace will crown the 2023 Miss Grand National Rodeo.

While you are here, see the future of livestock by visiting our Jr. Livestock Show where young agriculturalists from around the country present their best of sheep, goats, beef cattle, and pigs and are evaluated by judges who are experts in their field. Entry to the livestock exhibits is free with paid parking ($15-$25). Eligible exhibitors will compete for prize money as well as $12,500 in scholarships, generously provided by the Uccelli Foundation and the Grand National Foundation.

The Grand Nation Rodeo will take place Friday, October 7th and Saturday, October 8th at 7:30pm. Tickets start at $14 and are available on eTix.com. Friday is First Responders Night where first responders and up to three of their guests are admitted free. On both nights, the Cow Palace honors our active and retired miliary as well. Both groups should present ID at the door. Parking is $15 and $25 for VIP. For more information visit www.cowplace.com.
