2020 Goat Rodeo presented by City Grazing
1 of 2
City Grazing is a San Francisco based 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving the greater Bay Area with a vision of community building and a mission of sustainable land management and fire risk reduction through goat grazing! As part of their mission, City Grazing welcomes and rehabilitates goats in needs of a new home, making adopting goats from people who are no longer able to provide care a priority. Urban goat grazing brings the healing power of nature to our beloved City, removing fire hazards, creating healthy topsoil, supporting native plant life, fighting invasive weeds and taking CO2 out of the air and storing it into the ground. As the City Grazing Team works around the City, they teach about animal husbandry and ecological stewardship of urban land, and offer urban residents who have little access to animals an opportunity to interact. The positive effect is immediately apparent and is a big inspiration of making City Grazing's latest program a realty: At-Risk Youth Education program.
